Murphy's law can be good.
I've been working on the Murphy bed for my brother-in-law for several months. Making a commission project for a stranger can be rewarding, but making one for a family member has certain perks. Not only did I get to do lots of woodworking while someone else pays for the wood, but the entire family gets to go visit our family in Durham. We got some great family time. Oh Canada!
I have a good friend from the Air Force who is married to a wonderful Canadian gal. After posting a photo of one of my American Flags on Facebook, there was some sort of off-hand remark made by this wonderful Canadian along the lines of "if it were a Canadian flag, we'd order one".
