Almost there... stay on target...

The floor is almost done! It's been a lot of work. Low work. Don't need to do squats next time I hit the gym kind of work. I mentioned in my previous post that pulling up a floorboard and putting it back down is a pretty quick process. I was right. And I'm really, really good at it by now. I don't know how many times I've put a floorboard down and then realized a half hour later that I still needed one last thing in there.

I also realized that even the slip joints on the adjustable elbows need to be sealed or I'll be losing pressure throughout the entire system. That caused me to go back and tape up all of the first parts of the ducting I put down.

Of course, while I'm doing the duct work, I'm running electrical wires as well. That's the easy part. In the photo above, you can see the trough right in the middle that I built that has open junction boxes laid out in it. It's right in the middle of the floor where I don't have any machines planned to cover it up. If I need to get in there, all the boxes are in one place.

Don't mess with electrical stuff if you're not familiar with it. Don't mess with electrical stuff if you don't have a current tester. If you're not sure about something, play it safe and call a licensed electrician.

Ductwork AND electrical? The vision is becoming a reality.
