I'm making a War Hammer. If you don't know what a War Hammer is, don't worry, I didn't either. This is a tool that was designed by Matt Moore to help cross fit athletes change weights when they're using barbells without a bench.
Here's how I understand it, though I've never actually used a War Hammer or even seen one used: You wedge the War Hammer under the barbell and rotate it up. This lifts one end of the barbell off of the floor making it much easier to change weights without the help of a buddy.
Regardless of what this thing does, this particular War Hammer was commissioned as a "thank you" gift for a strength coach. This video shows the shaping and carving of the War Hammer. I'll be doing the inscription and painting in part 2 of this series.
Thanks for watching!
